thinkorswim Wilson Relative Price Channel 01/23/13

The Wilson relative price channel is the adaptation of the relative strength index to price action.

  1. Eric Purdy
Leon Wilson crafted an indicator based on the classic RSI and described it in the July 2006 issue of Technical Analysis of STOCKS & COMMODITIES magazine. In his words, “The Wilson relative price channel is the adaptation of the relative strength index to price action.” The bands are segmented into three channels: bullish band, bearish band and the neutral zone. In short, the classic RSI overbought and oversold regions are adapted to the price action and provide a dynamic representation of the RSI indicator. I’ll leave it to you to further explore and read his article if it peaks your interest. WRPC.png
